Hi Eva,
I read “Hellbent, But Not Broken” today and sent it to my brother.
I loved it! Your writing is so clear and easy to glide with. I was especially impressed with your reconstructing the days’ and nights’ events in the proper sequence. I could follow the up and down stages of your fatigue. You showed how your interactions with other team members dwindled and changed as the trek went on and on.
I am SO glad to read a first-person account of an endeavor like this. I’ve wondered what participating in these sorts of trips and competitions would be like, and now I have an idea. Thank you.
I will come back to your page again and start reading your other articles.
You are a very accomplished free-lancer. Congratulations on daring to do it and on succeeding.
